Library

Babylon  is proud to have a school library containing an extensive collection of over 5000 books- including fiction, nonfiction and reference materials. Library is scheduled to every student of all classes. Students are terminally assigned to write reviews to build the self study habits. When the student loses or damages a library book or any other library item, the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost of the item. Students are also responsible for paying the replacement cost of library materials damaged beyond repair. Students are required to pay an overdue fine of one rupees per book, per day, excluding holidays and weekends, for books returned late. The total fine assessed may not exceed NRS  per book. When a student loses or damages a library book or any other library item, the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost of the item. Students are also responsible for paying the replacement cost of library materials damaged beyond repair. Fines for damaged books will be assessed as follows:

  1. Missing barcode and/or spine label and/or date due slip – up to NRS
  2. Torn pages – up to 25% of cost of book
  3. Ink or pencil marks (minor) – NRS 1.00 per page
  4. Ink or pencil marks (major) – 25% cost of book
  5. Loose bindings (due to misuse) – 50% of cost of book
  6. Missing pages – 100% of cost of book
  7. Obscenities (drawn or written)- 100% cost of book
  8. Damages that prevent re-issuing book – 100% of cost of book

 

NOTE: If a student pays for a book in full (100%), he/she is entitled to keep that book.

Babylon National Higher Secondary School is a co-ed English medium school from PG to +2 levels in management stream. The school was established in the year 1996 with the purpose of enhancing holistic development of students in a genial environment through innovative methodology. The pedagogy itself focuses on our learner's heuristic learning.  
The school is located in Shantinagar, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal. It has 750 plus students at present academic year 2015. The school aims to enhance all round development of students in an amiable educational environment through inventive methodologies. It offers activities and programs that help harmonious development of personality in loving and caring environment. It is the best known for individual centered learning approach. The courses covered and curriculum are prescribed by the by CDC & HSEB, Nepal.
